The Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest Presented by Carpenters Local 1256 – Postponed Until 2021

On May 1st, 2020 the City of Sarnia announced city facilities, parks, organized programming, picnic rentals and other amenities would remain closed until July 3rd 2020.

“Given the ongoing corona-virus pandemic and the uncertainty of whether or not large gathering will be able to take place this summer, It is with great sadness that our event which was planned for June 19-21, 2020, Father’s Day weekend has been postponed until 2021,” said Jack Struck, Event Chair for the Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest. “The Sarnia Kinsmen is committed to the health and safety of all our visitors, sponsors, volunteers, ribbers, entertainers, vendors and the community. We deeply extend our thanks to everyone, especially our sponsors for their continued support and look forward to working with everyone in 2021”

The Sarnia Kinsmen Club have been serving and building the Sarnia Community for over  90 years. Over the years the Kinsmen have raised over $1 million dollars for the community and supported many initiatives and they loook foward to continuing their support for the community for many years to come.

“The Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest has become a marque family-friendly event with an  annual attendance of over 15,000 . This 3 day event of family fun, offers great food and live entertainment that has not only been enjoyed for over 20 years by local residents, but by visitors alike. It has truly become a signature event for our community, said Vicky Praill, Special Events & Sport Marketing Co-ordinator for Tourism Sarnia Lambton. “Like other events that have been cancelled, we will continue to work with them and we are confident that they will come back next year stronger and better than ever.”
